The estate planning process at Barron & Posternock is tailored to meet each person’s needs. We begin each estate planning matter with a personal meeting with you and a comprehensive assessment of your situation. We take the time to get to know you, your needs and your wishes. Then, at every step of the way, we work with you to prepare an estate plan that will best suit your situation.
In addition to a will, other considerations for your estate plan might be:
- Preparing trusts;
- Preparing a Living Will (Also called an Advance Directive) and Medical Power of Attorney which gives you a voice to express your wishes to die naturally if in a terminal condition with no hope of recovery and which appoints a trusted individual to make medical decisions on your behalf if you become incapacitated;
- Preparing a Durable Power of Attorney, which allows you to appoint a trusted individual to handle your personal and financial affairs while you are alive if are not be able to do so yourself.
