Dan Posternock obtained his Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law (1985) after earning a Bachelor of Arts at Monmouth University (1982). After achieving partnerships with the former firms of Moss, Powers and Posternock (1987-1996), and Cureton, Caplan and Clark (1997-1998), Mr. Posternock established the Law Offices of Daniel Posternock in August of 1998. Four years later, he and Thomas M. Barron created the firm of Barron & Posternock, LLP.
Dan prides himself in knowing and being known in the courts where he practices and is honored to continue the tradition of excellence established by his valued mentors. A former Superior Court Law Clerk to the Honorable E. Stephenson Fluharty(retired) and former associate to current Federal Judge Robert B. Kugler, he is admitted to the bars of the State of New Jersey and US District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Dan's trial and litigation experience includes claims arising from real estate transactions, consumer fraud and actions brought under New Jersey's Tort Claims Act. Dan regularly handles business disputes as well as automobile negligence, premises liability and home improvement/construction claims. In addition, Dan continues his more than twenty year history of counseling real estate brokers, agents and others involved in the real estate industry.
Mr. Posternock has been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey to mediate pending disputes, and is honored to be frequently chosen by his peers to arbitrate or mediate litigated matters.
Professional Affiliations: Dan is a current member of the New Jersey, Camden, and Burlington County Bar Associations. He is an active participant in the Burlington County Bar Complimentary Dispute Resolution/Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee, the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators, and National Arbitration and Mediation (NAM). He also continues to serve on the Supreme Court of New Jersey’s District Ethics Committee (District III-B), the Moorestown Township Committee on Ethics and is a member of the Moorestown Business Association and the Burlington County Chamber of Commerce.
Community Activities: For more than 13 years Dan was a member and/or chairman of the Juvenile Conference Committee of Moorestown and Medford, a diversionary program for first-time juvenile offenders. Dan was also a member of the Risk Management Committee of the YMCA and is a former Trustee, and coach and sponsor for the Moorestown Youth Baseball Federation. He has also coached local recreation teams in basketball and flag football.
Originally from Cape May County, Dan and his wife, Allison, live in Moorestown, Burlington County with son, Joshua, and daughter, Mia.
