  • Medical malpractice

We offer a free initial consultation to discuss your injury case. In addition, we handle all injury cases on a contingency basis. Recovering Maximum Compensation following a Car Accident

New Jersey is a no-fault auto insurance state. This means that a portion of your economic damages from car accidents (such as medical expenses, lost earnings and other reasonable expenses) are covered by your no-fault insurance coverage. It is important to note that no-fault policies have threshold limits. If you have suffered a serious injury, such as a spinal cord injury, head injury, complex fractures or other catastrophic injury, your no-fault coverage may not be enough to cover your economic damages.

To collect additional damages not reimbursed by no-fault, as well as to collect damages for pain and suffering, our personal injury attorneys can file a lawsuit against the person responsible for the accident that caused your injuries. Our attorneys can also assist you in filing your no-fault claim. We will also represent you to contest any driver's license or insurance surcharges connected with your accident. We alleviate the burdens of procedures and paperwork so that you can focus on recovery.

Important things to Remember after a Serious Accident

Physical evidence and the recollections of witnesses and involved parties are very important in serious personal injury cases, both for establishing the liability of the involved negligent parties as well as for proving the nature, extent and causation of injuries. When attempting to resolve serious personal injury claims, cases in which the proofs are strongest are almost invariably easier to settle and to settle at full value. If the claim proceeds on to litigation, this evidence becomes even more important as the basis of proof of liability and damages.

Obtaining as much of this evidence as possible will give both you and your attorney a significant head start on resolving your claim promptly and at full value.

The following (if applicable) may be helpful to your case:

  • Driver's license, license plate and insurance information: Following a car accident, it is very important to obtain the drivers license, information and the license plate number of the other driver or drivers.
  • Police report: If a police officer has come to the accident scene, be sure to ask if a report of the car accident will be prepared and where and when it will be available. If the officer does not intend to prepare a report, be sure to request the officer's name and badge number for later contact.
  • Photographs: Take pictures of your vehicle as soon as possible. Take pictures from all angles, not just the damaged portions. If possible, take pictures of the other vehicles involved in the accident, as well as the surrounding area to preserve the way it looked at the time of car accident. Take pictures of the roadway for any skid marks or debris. If you or someone in your vehicle sustained a visible injury such as a bruise, cut, scrape or stitches, take photographs of the injury to preserve the state of the injury at the time of the injury. Feel free to take as many photographs of what you think may, no matter how trivial, be important to the accident claim.
  • Witnesses: Make sure you obtain the name, address and telephone number of any potential witnesses.
  • Property damage: After taking photographs of your damaged vehicle, take the vehicle for a repair estimate as soon as possible. Obtain written and dated repair estimates from a minimum of two repair facilities, at least one of which you selected without insurance company suggestion.
